Should drones be used for every real estate listing?

The short answer, no. Not every listing is going to call for an aerial shot. Some locations simply don’t warrant it. If the property has noticeable flaws like a rotting roof or limited backyard space, it is better to avoid highlighting these downsides with drone photography.

However, properties with nearby amenities such as a beach, main street, or city; it would be silly not to showcase the proximity to the local hot spots. As we all know, LOCATION is everything! Drone photography has the ability to showcase location much better than traditional photography from a tripod.

Drones for Real Estate

Drone technology has quickly changed the way brokers are selling properties. It has become the latest marketing choice for agents, as bestdroneforthejob states,

Today, the latest marketing weapon in real estate is drone photography & video tours for online listings. Some agents claim that drones are the most important new technology to enter real estate marketing since the internet.

It’s easy to see why.

Using aerial cameras, real estate photographers are producing dramatic, sweeping shots of landscapes, ocean and mountain vistas, and seamlessly fly-around home exteriors. What was once not able to be seen can now be shown to buyers easily.
