Is it Legal to Fly Drones in NJ & NY?
As you can see above, the airspace in the Tri-State area is pretty open in terms of where you can legally fly a drone. Let’s just say there are more places that you can fly than cannot. That being said, even though there are a lot of places that are open airspace, it’s important to know where you will be flying.
Flying in illegal or restricted airspace can result in heavy fines and/or jailtime depending on where you are.
We Guarantee Safe Drone Operations
Thankfully, here at Skyview Media, we are constantly keeping an eye on the airspace and current restrictions. When you hire us for a drone service, you can relax knowing that we are abiding by all laws and regulations to perform a safe flight.
Congested Airspace Areas
There are some pretty congested areas to keep an eye out for. For example, here in the Hudson County area in NJ, you have multiple airports such as Newark, Teterboro, Laguardia, JFK, all nearby. This causes a lot more restrictions in this area. If you have a property in Central/Northern NJ or NYC, please reach out and we can find the best solution for you. There are ways in which we can gain access to certain airspaces.
Drone Regulations NJ - NY - PA
Using software such as LAANC, we can receive permission to fly in areas that are inside a 5mile radius of an airport. These permissions can be accepted in as little as 5min. If you are unsure about whether or not we can fly a drone over your property, reach out to our team and we will gladly assist you.
